The Baltimore Ravens dropped to 1-5 after losing to the Los Angeles Rams, 17-3, in Week 6. It was a brutal loss, as the team faces a steep uphill climb to get back into playoff contention. Only three teams have made the playoffs after starting 1-5.

That road will not get any easier. Outside linebacker Tavius Robinson is the latest Raven to be added to their long list of injuries. Robinson left Sunday's matchup in the second quarter with a foot injury and did not return. In his postgame press conference, Head Coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Robinson broke his foot in the Week 6 loss, which will keep the talented 26-year-old out for a while.

If there was one place that Baltimore could not lose another player to injury, it was the defensive line. Robinson is the team’s most well-rounded edge rusher, doing his part to apply pressure while also setting the edge against the run. Now, an already struggling defensive front will be searching for even more answers.

Tavius Robinson breaks foot in Week 6 loss

Robinson is tied for the team lead in sacks with two and is tied for second on the team in tackles for loss with two. The unit has had trouble penetrating the backfield all year long and will enter its biggest stretch of the season without Robinson.

Recent acquisitions of C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Alohi Gilman might signal that the Ravens still have playoff hopes in 2025, but the postseason is quickly becoming out of reach. Without Robinson, they will need veteran Kyle Van Noy and rookie Mike Green to turn a corner after a slow start through the first six weeks of action.

Baltimore has their bye week in Week 7, so the team will have time to figure out the next course of action without Robinson on the field. Their defensive line depth is very shallow, though, so the answer to their problems may come from the practice squad or elsewhere.

Depending on the severity of the broken foot, Robinson will likely see a stint on injured reserve. Outside linebackers Malik Hamm or Kaimon Rucker could be called out from the practice squad as a result.

Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr’s defense did look improved against the Rams, but the loss of Robinson will undoubtedly hurt the unit.
