The Baltimore Ravens hit the jackpot when they signed Derrick Henry in the 2024 offseason, as he's been a workhorse for them on offense. Even with Henry still producing at a high level, he's certainly closer to the end of his career than he is to the beginning of it.

What might be in store for Henry when he's done playing football? Well, he might have clued us in on what he'd like to do as a career when his NFL days are in the books during an exclusive interview with FanSided.

"Would you ever consider acting after your football career ends?"

"For sure. Hopefully Hollywood will be knocking here anytime soon," Henry responded.

If that work ethic that makes him one of the best on the gridiron translates into acting, Hollywood very well could come calling, especially with a key connection that he's made.

Derrick Henry could be going Hollywood once his football career is up

Henry seemingly already has a foot in the door, as he and Adam Sandler made a bet last summer that if Henry rushed for 2,000 yards in 2025, he could appear in one of Sandler's future movies. While Henry didn't end up rushing for those 2,000 yards (he finished with 1,595), Sandler seemed committed to the idea of having the Ravens running back in one of his movies anyway.

The two met at the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2 and Sandler told Henry that "We're doing a movie together." That seems as close to a sure thing as one can get, right?

If Henry seems interested in taking his talents to Hollywood and starring in movies when his playing days are over, he's already got a great reference to help him get his start. If Ravens fans know anything about Henry, though, he excels in pretty much everything that's asked of him, so why would acting be any different?

Hopefully, Henry continues to play for the Ravens and continues to do so at a high level for many years to come, but it's good to know that, once he's done playing, he has his sights set on something where he can continue to shine.
