Does the latest top 100 ranking hint at a shocking snub for Ravens star?

This list could get disrespectful.

The NFL Top 100 always throws fans for a loop. Many talented players tend to be snubbed or ranked far too low, and it is starting to look like one Baltimore Ravens’ multi-time Pro Bowler will miss out on the list.

On Thursday, the 94th and 93rd best players were unveiled, and making the list at number 93 was Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey. Humphrey is widely regarded as the best center in the league, acting as the backbone for his team's high-powered offense. While the recognition is deserved, it also feels way too low and could mean that Ravens' center Tyler Linderbaum will be one of the biggest snubs.

The former Iowa Hawkeye could still rank as the best center in the NFL. However, after the season Humphrey had, he will likely fall short. The Chiefs' center had a 92.8 overall grade per Pro Football Focus, outplaying Linderbaum and his 78.1 grade. There is no issue with being considered the second-best center in the league, but potentially not being named a top 100 player is disrespectful.

Is Tyler Linderbaum going to be snubbed?

Center is not a pretty position. They do the dirty work. It is tough to earn respect at the spot, and on prominent rankings like the NFL Top 100, they can quickly become an afterthought. It is the first time in his career that Humphrey has made the yearly ranking, and by the looks of it, Linderbaum will have to wait another year to capture that honor.

Since coming to Charm City as a first-round pick in 2022, Linderbaum has been as consistent as it gets. He has had a PFF grade over 74 each year of his career and has only missed two games.

Like Humphrey, he is the motor who makes the Ravens’ offense run with a full head of steam. He dominates in the run and pass game, helping the team capture history with over 3,000 rush yards and 4,000 pass yards in 2024. With that production, leaving him off the Top 100 would be asinine, and it is looking like that will be the case.

Of course, there is still a chance he will make the list, but if his name is not revealed within the next few days, the likelihood of him making his first appearance is not great.

The 25-year-old is worthy of the honor, and even if he does not make it, he will soon be rewarded for his play. Linderbaum is a pending free agent in 2026. While the Ravens declined his fifth-year option, they are looking to extend him and keep the star in Baltimore for the foreseeable future.
