The Baltimore Ravens do not look like the Baltimore Ravens that we're used to watching every week. That much was evident in their blowout loss to the Houston Texans and, at 1-4, the season feels lost. The Texans put up 44 points against this Ravens defense and were cruising all afternoon long.
Somehow, that wasn't even the low point of the day though. After Texans rookie receiver Jaylin Noel scored a touchdown to make it a 41-10 lead for Houston, the rookie really hit the Ravens where it hurt, pulling out the Ray Lewis sack dance.
This, of course, didn't go over well with the Ravens. Newcomer Jaire Alexander tried to grab Noel's touchdown ball out of his hands after the celebration in a moment that was clearly pure frustration for the veteran cornerback.
Jaire Alexander summed up the Ravens season with one gesture
This season has been brutal for the Ravens so far. It turns out that the collapse in Week 1 was a preview of things to come, only at least Baltimore was in that game. The Ravens have been blown out in back-to-back weeks and have been ravaged by injuries all year. It's been tough to watch.
It was quite frustrating to see the Texans celebrating and having a good time in the Ravens' stadium when things have been going so poorly for the home team. It makes sense that Alexander would also be frustrated and his reaction to that moment summed up how this 2025 season has been playing out for the Baltimore Ravens so far. Pure frustration and annoyance.
The hope is that it's not too late for this team to turn things around and make a late season run when players get healthy and return to the lineup but, at 1-4, that feels like a pipe dream at this point.
