The New York Giants trading Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for the No. 10 pick sent clear ripple effects in the NFL Draft world. Shortly after this trade, Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport reported that Giants general manager Joe Schoen flew to Arizona to attend Jordyn Tyson’s workout on Friday, and Schoen also had dinner with Tyson the night before.

John Harbaugh and the New York Giants could steal Jordyn Tyson from the Baltimore Ravens

Leading up to the draft, Ravens fans have understandably become enthralled with the possibility of adding Tyson with the 14th pick. Sure, his injury history adds some risk, but there's no denying that adding a dynamic receiver with impressive size (6-foot-2) next to Zay Flowers would be ideal. Now, it looks like the Giants could ruin the Ravens' chances to draft Tyson.

Now, though, the Giants could ruin the Ravens' chances to draft Tyson. This would be especially painful to fans, given the John Harbaugh factor.

While Schoen's name was noted, there's no denying that John Harbaugh's fingerprints are all over the Lawrence trade, and he could also play a role in potentially going after Tyson. Since taking over as the Giants' coach, Harbaugh has had significant decision-making responsibilities.

Five former Ravens have already joined Harbaugh in New York, including fan favorites Isaiah Likely and Patrick Ricard. As such, if Harbaugh and the Giants steal Baltimore's dream draft target in Tyson, it would be another gut punch to the fan base.

Unfortunately for Ravens fans, it's easy to see a world where the Giants draft Tyson at pick 10, as they could use another receiver to pair with Malik Nabers. Harbaugh is certainly looking to make life easier for second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart, and giving him another high-end young pass catcher would be logical.

The Ravens' other options if Tyson is off the board

If this buzz proves to be real and the Giants do select Tyson, Baltimore might still be able to land a pass catcher. USC's Makai Lemon and Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq are two intriguing options if they fall to 14.

Regardless, Lemon's smaller build could be redundant next to Flowers, and while Sadiq is a dynamic tight end, getting a classic deep threat WR like Tyson would be the dream outcome for Baltimore.

Interior offensive line would be the next logical area to target, with Utah's Spencer Fano and Penn State's Olaivavega Ioane being two possible options if the Ravens go down this path. In this scenario, the Ravens would likely opt to bolster their wide receiver core later in the draft.

It's great that the Ravens have other options. Nevertheless, landing Tyson would be the best possible outcome for the Ravens, and losing out on him to the Harbaugh-led Giants would add especially sting.
