The Baltimore Ravens were punished on nearly every single down in their Week 5 loss to the Houston Texans. They fell 44-10, which is the second-largest margin of defeat in the John Harbaugh era. The performance was a slap in the face to all fans in attendance, and the crowd was not afraid to let Harbaugh hear it as he and the rest of the team walked off the field.
The Ravens now sit at 1-4, and somehow each loss gets more embarrassing. Following the loss, Harbaugh was seen walking to the locker room to a cascade of boos.

Sure, the team was dealing with injuries to several All-Pros and Pro Bowlers, but they didn’t look remotely close to a professional football team on Sunday. What was expected to be a dominant season in Baltimore is quickly turning into one of the more disgraceful years in team history. It ties the worst five-game start they have ever had, and it doesn’t look like it’ll get any better.
John Harbaugh booed off the field in Week 5 loss
Ever since the meltdown of a loss in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, fans have been calling for Harbaugh to be fired. With such a depleted roster, it would be unfair to throw all of the blame on the coaching staff in most cases, but the team looked unprepared on Sunday, and they have played in a similar fashion all season.
The Ravens have faced an early-season gauntlet, with matchups against the Bills, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and Texans through the first five weeks. Such a competitive slate early on will bring some expected struggles, but not of this magnitude. Harbaugh has been outcoached in each of those games this year, and getting exposed by a very talented, yet just a third-year head coach in DeMeco Ryans, simply cannot happen to a coach with 18 years of experience like Harbaugh.
If Harbaugh does not change the tune soon, his job could and likely should be on the line by the end of this year. Baltimore has fallen short time and time again, and with quarterback Lamar Jackson in the midst of his prime, they cannot afford to throw seasons away like they appear to be doing in 2025. The entire team looks checked out, and at 1-4 heading into a battle against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6, things are unlikely to get any better.
