Baltimore Ravens two-time MVP Lamar Jackson is one of the top two quarterbacks in the NFL. While a recent egregious ranking placed him as the fourth-best player at his position heading into 2025, it is evident that almost no one compares to what Jackson can do on the field. 2024 was another campaign where he proved himself to be the best player in the league, and this upcoming season should be no different.

The Ravens put together another strong roster. Jackson can beat you in any way possible, making it easy to build a lethal offense around the 28-year-old. Every season, he somehow outdoes himself, and offensive coordinator Todd Monken’s unit has gotten better and better with each passing year.

In a recent article, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report ranked the top 15 franchise players to build around as teams approach the new season. It should come as no surprise that Jackson came in at number one on the list. Knox wrote:

“The Ravens have been perennial contenders when Jackson has been healthy because he's one of the biggest mismatches in the league and because he's been able to thrive regardless of the pieces around him. Now that Baltimore has added skill-position players like Zay Flowers, Derrick Henry, and DeAndre Hopkins to help aid Jackson, its Super Bowl window should be fully open.”

Lamar Jackson is one of a kind

Jackson is only entering his eighth season in the NFL, but he is already proving to be possibly the most unstoppable force in league history. He has set unbreakable records throughout his career and has done much of it without the strongest supporting cast for most of his tenure.

Baltimore has now built one of the most dangerous offenses the league has ever seen. Jackson has all the weapons a quarterback could want at his disposal. However, it was not always that. Whether it was a lack of talent in the team’s receiver group or injuries taking a toll on the running back room throughout the years, Jackson has still been able to thrive and put up MVP-caliber numbers. It is part of what makes him so easy to build around.

This season is the perfect opportunity for Jackson and the Ravens to capture their Super Bowl dreams finally. They have built a roster with endless talent, and at the very minimum, it should amount to an AFC Championship win and Super Bowl appearance. Although there have been struggles in the postseason, with Jackson under center, Baltimore is capable of anything.
