Lamar Jackson is hurt again. He left the game on the Baltimore Ravens offense’s first play of their Week 8 contest with the Buffalo Bills.
Jackson dropped back and threw an incomplete pass intended for Zay Flowers. The two-time MVP was pressured from the middle and right side and hit his hand on Bills edge rusher Gregory Rousseau's arm.

After two offensive drives, Jackson was ruled out for the rest of the game with a right thumb injury.
It seems Jackson can’t buy any luck. This comes after a brutal high ankle sprain in Week 4, where he was landed on by Tennessee Titans edge rusher Jermaine Johnson II. Now it’s another freak injury, getting hurt on the follow-through of his first pass attempt in his return to action.
Of course, Tyler Huntley took over after Jackson went to the locker room. He led back-to-back three-and-outs, where the offense totaled just 5 yards.
Fortunately, the Ravens were able to put 7 points on the board thanks to a Broderick Washington interception and Derrick Henry doing Derrick Henry things on the ensuing possession.
But even Huntley got hurt. He came out of the game with a toe injury, and Joe Fagnano, Baltimore's emergency third QB, replaced him.
Huntley is a capable backup quarterback, but as we’ve seen, he isn’t great. He tallied an impressive win in Week 5 over the Atlanta Falcons; however, the offense has been limited since. Between Week 6 and Week 7, the Ravens posted just 23 points, and 0 points in the second half.
This is obviously a brutal hit. Amid a two-game losing streak, Jackson’s return brought a glimmer of hope back to Charm City. Unfortunately, we’re right back to square one, sitting on edge and waiting for updates on his health.
While Baltimore has a talented team, they haven’t shown much hope without Jackson on the field. Maybe they can turn things around, but it's looking dreary once again.
