It didn’t take long for the NFL’s social media circus to spiral after Marlon Humphrey’s blunt comments following the Baltimore Ravens’ playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills. Humphrey’s candid take—“This team is done”—sparked plenty of chatter, but the drama reached a hilarious peak when New York Giants lineman Jermaine Eluemunor decided to turn the chaos into a recruiting pitch.

When Humphrey took to Twitter to vent about the app’s toxicity, saying, “I really forgot how toxic this app is…I love it here” Eluemunor wasted no time. “I heard you wanted to come play in NY,” he tweeted, firing off a not-so-subtle invitation for Humphrey to trade the purple and black for Giants blue.

It didn’t stop there. Cowboys star Micah Parsons jumped into the fray, calling out Eluemunor with a pointed reminder: “You really pitching to someone who has Lamar?!” It was the perfect dose of NFC East spice, but Eluemunor wasn’t backing down. “I’m shooting my shot,” he replied, adding, “I’m tryna win next season.”

The exchange was equal parts comical and revealing. On one hand, it was a rare moment of lightheartedness during what’s been a heavy few days for Humphrey and the Ravens. On the other, it highlighted the league-wide respect Humphrey commands.

For Eluemunor to publicly pitch a player who’s still under contract says everything about the talent Humphrey brings to the table.

It’s also a testament to how social media has turned recruiting into a public spectacle. Players know they’re always being watched, and these interactions—while playful—sometimes carry real weight. Whether Eluemunor was joking or not, the Giants wouldn’t mind a player of Humphrey’s caliber suiting up in their secondary.

For now, Humphrey remains a Raven, and Eluemunor’s pitch is just another headline in a wild offseason waiting to happen. But if this exchange proved anything, it’s that Humphrey is as coveted around the league as he is respected.

Whatever the future holds, one thing is clear: NFL Twitter never disappoints.
