Marlon Humphrey fuels major speculation with one social media post

What intel does Humphrey have?

Marlon Humphrey is never one to shy away from the cameras. In fact, you can pretty much catch Humphrey all over the camera and social media and his podcast after just about every Baltimore Ravens game. Whether the social media limelight gets him into some trouble sometimes or not, there's no denying wherever he goes, the camera follows.

The camera isn't the only thing that follows Humphrey. Pro Bowl honors apparently shadow him as well—he just spent this past weekend at his fourth Pro Bowl in his eight seasons in the league. But what would a Pro Bowl appearance be without the typical attention that normally trails the star corner?

Humphrey was up to his usual extra-curricular activities at the Pro Bowl, seen walking around with a camera (sometimes a camera crew—Kyle Hamilton) interviewing players and giving fans a Pro Bowl experience like no other. Aside from reporter Humphrey reporting for duty, his typical social media games reared their little heads, and this time, it was Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher Micah Parsons who was catching the headlines.

Marlon Humphrey knows a team (Baltimore Ravens) who might want him

In a silly Instagram story post, it took one sentence for the rumor mills to start to swirl around a potential Parsons-Ravens union:

"@micahparsons11 says he want to come to the AFC...I know a team."

It's fair to wonder if Parsons actually said this or not. There hasn't been any confirmation from Parsons or Humphrey's camp, so this needs to come with a massive pinch of salt. However, if this rumor is true, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta should hop on a call with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones immediately to get trade talks going, if nothing more, to see what the cost would be.

Additionally, this isn't the first time Parsons-to-Baltimore rumors have surfaced. Where there's smoke, there's fire, even if it's candle-sized.

Whether Parsons actually wants out of Dallas or if Humphrey was just stirring the pot, one thing is clear—the Cowboys are a mess, and Parsons might not be thrilled about it. Losing head coach Mike McCarthy, dealing with Jerry Jones’ head-scratching decision-making, and watching contract talks drag on for too long for a player like Parsons? Yeah, that’s a recipe for frustration.

If Parsons is looking for stability and a team that actually knows how to manage its talent, Baltimore should be at the top of his list.

Now, would the Ravens actually make a move for Parsons? That’s a different conversation. He’s still under contract and is due another massive one shortly after his rookie one runs up next year. Unless he forces Dallas’ hand, the Cowboys probably aren’t letting him walk anytime soon.

But if there’s even a sliver of truth to what Humphrey is teasing, DeCosta needs to at least kick the tires on this one. Adding Parsons to this already stacked Ravens defense? That’s the kind of move that turns playoff contenders into Super Bowl contenders.
