As they hold the 14th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens will be hoping some of the top prospects fall in their lap. It’s happened before, and it might happen again.
This year’s draft class lacks much blue-chip talent. Because of that, Baltimore’s hope that they can walk into some luck may be lost, but according to reports, some ideal fits are trending toward falling near, or even past, their first-round selection.
ESPN’s Matt Miller has already mentioned that Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson’s hamstring concerns are threatening his draft stock. On Monday, he held firm on that, and in that same post, he highlighted that Miami’s Rueben Bain is in danger of falling outside the top-10.

Both Tyson and Bain have had broad ranges throughout the draft process. If Miller is on the money here, the Ravens could land one of the highly sought-after collegiate stars.
Baltimore Ravens could be nearing an exciting chance to draft top prospects
Tyson or Bain would be the dream scenario for Baltimore. Both have made a very strong case to be considered the best prospect at their respective positions, and both spots are positions of need for the Ravens.
Outside of the interior offensive line, wide receiver is undoubtedly Baltimore's biggest need. There’s really no reliable presence playing next to Zay Flowers, and Lamar Jackson has never had a consistent contested catch threat. Tyson has the chance to be all of that and more. If he’s sitting there at 14, it might be hard for general manager Eric DeCosta to pass on him.
Then there’s Bain. Despite the signing of Trey Hendrickson, pass rush remains a realistic possibility in the first round for the Ravens. It’s been mentioned that the team tried to add both Hendrickson and Maxx Crosby, and although the front office backed out of the Crosby trade, they could find another fearsome pass rusher in this year’s draft by way of Bain.
Sure, Tyson and Bain have the skillsets to blossom in the NFL, but they also have their flaws.
Tyson is a walking red flag when it comes to injuries. He played more than nine games in a season just once in his four-year college career. In that time, he’s dealt with a significant knee injury, a broken collarbone, and a hamstring injury. That hamstring issue hasn’t gotten much better in the months leading up to the draft.
On the other hand, Bain’s issue isn’t his health or his play. He may have been the best pure pass rusher last season. However, his 30 ⅞-inch arms are forcing teams to question how he’ll transition to the NFL. He ranks in the first percentile in arm length. That’s extremely worrisome.
Regardless of those flaws, the talent in Tyson and Bain is undoubtedly there. The Ravens would be lucky to have the chance to draft either of them, and if that chance arises, they should turn in the card as soon as possible.
