For some, watching Super Bowl 59 was a difficult task. Seeing the Kansas City Chiefs get completely dominated might have made Baltimore Ravens fans wonder what could have been.
Would the Ravens have been able to put up a better fight against the Philadelphia Eagles? We will never know. But, I would venture to guess many Baltimore fans had similar thoughts in regards to the Ravens being able to give the Eagles a better run.
Going into the offseason, there is little doubt about the Ravens being a contender next year. If quarterback Lamar Jackson is still on this roster, then Baltimore has a shot. Jackson was, after all, snubbed of his third NFL MVP just days ago. Not to take away from Josh Allen, but the numbers were there for Jackson.
The tape doesn't lie, either. Jackson's season was marvelous and maybe his best yet. But, he can't do it all on his own, as evidenced by how this year ended.
Entering the offseason, Baltimore is clearly not far from a championship. A day after the Super Bowl, even the latest NFL odds suggest as much.

More Eagles news:
It makes sense that the Eagles and Chiefs would be at the top of the latest odds, considering the two teams just came out of the big game on Sunday night. But, some might be surprised to see the Ravens check in right there with the Chiefs and Detroit Lions as having the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl next year.
This proves Ravens fans are right to believe their squad is not far away from a title. Adding some depth at pass rusher and also maybe giving Jackson another top-tier weapon on offense could be the trick.
Of course, the secondary still needs some help, too, at cornerback. Offensive line will need a little help. But, there isn't anything which isn't doable this offseason. We'll see if the front office attacks these needs aggressively.
Vegas clearly believes in this Ravens team, and the fan base is also correct to have high hopes this early on after the season ended.
