14. Brian Burns (ER) Panthers
Burns is perhaps a top-3 trade darling all things considered. He would surely be a coup to add to the Ravens defense, a la Roquan Smith last season, but it's still unknown to which extent the Panthers will be willing to send him away in a trade.
The ER is only 26 years old and could have a bright future in Carolina... in terms of inking an extension, but not quite in terms of winning games.
"The Ravens loved Burns coming out of the 2019 draft, and all he’s done is notch 42 sacks and eight forced fumbles in his first 70 games," Zrebiec revealed. "The Panthers have maintained that they have zero interest in trading Burns, but they’re 0-6 and Burns has a few months left on his rookie contract."
If Baltimore truly wanted Burns back in 2019, this might be the best chance they have at landing him even if it cost the franchise a bit more than the draft pick they would have needed to spend a few years ago.
Burns would be a fantastic addition, but the defense is monstrous at applying pressure to opposing quarterbacks so it's not quite clear if they would want to spend big assets in yet another pass rusher.
