11. DT Rayshad Nichols

Nichols already spent last season in the Ravens practice squad, so he's a veteran of this type of thing. He's the lone defensive lineman named into Baltimore's PS for the year, though, so his presence in the squad will be important.

Late last season, Baltimore used Nichols and handed him a few snaps at the tail end of the campaign. It's hard to see that happen early this season, but you know how it goes with injuries and the NFL, don't you?

The Ravens named only five DL into ther initial 53-man roster, so they are walking a thin line there and the minute someone goes down they'll be in a very pressing need of reinforcements.

That is, on top of everything, contingent on the Ravens signing Brent Urban, who remains a free agent/cut but is expected to ink a veteran pact with Baltimore in the next few hours or days.
