3. Cornerback - Corey Mayfield

Even though the Ravens' secondary has been suffering endless maladies through the summer, Baltimore cut two members of the unit to get Monday going and followed DAHC's waiving with the release of Corey Mayfield, as reported by Aaron Wilson.

Mayfield Jr. is an undrafted rookie out of UTSA who the Ravens snatched off the street to bolster their practice squad through training camp.

He's a reasonably good-sized corner, boasts speed, and is athletic enough to find a place in the practice squad of the Ravens or other team interested in his services.

Mayfield Jr. spent five years playing NCAA football at UTSA, starting and breaking out through the 2020-22 span. While not invited to the Combine by the NFL hurt his stock even more, he still found a place in Baltimore.
