The Ravens recently announced that Terrell Suggs will be inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor on October 22nd when the Ravens face the Detroit Lions. It was only a matter of time for Suggs who is one of the all-time great players to ever wear the Ravens uniform. Here's a glimpse at Suggs's tremendous career.

Episode 1: Early Career

After being selected with the 10th overall pick in 2003, Suggs made an immediate impact on the defense. He had a fantastic rookie season, tallying 12 sacks, 9 tackles for loss, 5 forced fumbles, 3 pass deflections, and even his first career interception. This led to Suggs winning Defensive Rookie of the Year, and it established him as one of the best rising defensive stars in the league.

After a great rookie season, Suggs tallied 3 more productive years immediately after. He accumulated 28 sacks over the next 3 seasons including 10.5 in 2004. During these seasons, Suggs made major strides as a run defender, resulting in 38 tackles for loss in the 3-year span. He also continued to create turnovers thanks to 7 forced fumbles and 2 more interceptions. He made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career in 2004, and again in 2006.

After a down year in 2007 (according to Suggs's standards), Suggs signed a 1 year "prove-it" deal with the Ravens for the 2008 season. He made the most of this opportunity with one of the most disruptive seasons of his career.

Suggs filled up the stat sheet with 8 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 9 pass deflections, 2 interceptions, and 2 defensive touchdowns. He also recorded 19 tackles for loss, representing the 2nd most in a single season in his career. Suggs received a Pro Bowl selection and made the All-Pro second team thanks to his monster season.
