3 Ravens could earn induction into legendary 2025 Hall of Fame class
By Mike Luciano
The 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony was one for the ages, as legends of the game like Julius Peppers, Patrick Willis, and Steve McMichael were given football's highest honor. The Baltimore Ravens had to largely sit this year out. The only former Raven who made it this year was Devin Hester, who had an exceedingly brief 12-game cameo.
The Ravens have only sent a few former players to Canton due to how young their franchise is, and even fewer who played primarily with Baltimore. Only Jonathan Ogden, Ray Lewis, and Ed Reed made the Hall of Fame playing most of their careers with the Ravens.
That could change in 2025, as two former Ravens stars will be considered on the ballot. Pass rusher Terrell Suggs and perennial Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda will both be up for induction for the first time in 2025, while another ex-Ravens receiver will try once again to make it into the Hall.
Steve Smith may be known for his days with the Carolina Panthers, but he was a very productive receiver for the Ravens after making the move to Baltimore. If the voters get over their aversion to electing many of the game's best wide receivers, the Ravens may have three former players elected in 2025.

Suggs has had some run-ins with the law that could make his Hall of Fame candidacy a tough sell. However, purely based on what he did on the field, Suggs is a Hall of Fame player. Be it the 139 sacks, Defensive Player of the Year, seven Pro Bowl, or Super Bowl ring, Suggs has a very impressive resume.
While Smith should be in Canton based on what he did in Carolina alone, he did chip in an extra 2,500 yards and 14 touchdowns during his three seasons with the Ravens.
Between 2011 and 2019, Yanda was a Pro Bowler eight times and an All-Pro seven times. One of the best offensive linemen of his era, Yanda's consistency and excellence hit all the benchmarks needed for induction into Canton's hallowed halls.
The Ravens are started to put more Hall of Famers into Canton, as their decades of success are being properly recognized for their true excellence.
