5 Current Ravens Players who could make the Ravens Ring of Honor
By Justin Long
5. Roquan Smith, LB
This one certainly takes some projecting, but I think Roquan Smith will be considered one of the best players in franchise history when he retires. Although he has only spent half of a season with the Ravens, after being traded from Chicago to Baltimore before the deadline, his impact was felt immediately.
After the acquisition of Smith, the Ravens' defense held opposing offenses to under 15 points per game, including 3 performances where they allowed less than 10 points. Smith finished the season with 169 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, and 4.5 sacks between the Bears and Ravens. This led to a first-team All-Pro selection and his first Pro Bowl selection. He also made second-team All-Pro in 2020 and 2021.
Smith was given a 5 year deal at the end of last season, officially making him a long-term staple of this Ravens defense. I expect Smith to become the next great Ravens linebacker and could easily see him playing his way into the Ravens Ring of Honor.
