5 Ravens who are certified building blocks for the future
- Kyle Hamilton will continue the legacy of Ravens D
- Zay Flowers will be a huge offensive playmaker
- David Ojabo can be huge on the Ravens if he stays healthy
3. Zay Flowers (Wide Receiver)
Zay Flowers hasn’t played a snap for Baltimore yet, but he’s poised to be a big part of the offense and a key player for the future of the franchise. That’s why Baltimore drafted Flowers with the 22nd overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. He’s definitely one of the most exciting weapons the team added this offseason.
In four years at Boston College, Flowers caught 200 passes for 3,056 yards and 29 touchdowns. Flowers also had 57 carries for 345 yards and two additional touchdowns. He’ll now bring those explosive play-making skills to Baltimore.
While the Ravens also added Odell Beckham Jr. this offseason, and are expecting a bounce-back season from Rashod Bateman, the future of Baltimore’s wide receiver position seems to be Zay Flowers. Hopefully, he will live up to expectations and produce once the season starts.
Flowers has also spent a ton of time with Lamar Jackson this offseason, building a rapport. That should be evident when the season rolls around and they have a strong on-field connection.
