3. The Ravens rookies

The new guys are always one of the biggest reasons to get excited about training camp. Entering the 2023 season, Baltimore certainly has some rookies to get excited about. The headliner, of course, is wide receiver Zay Flowers.

Baltimore used the 22nd-overall pick on the wide receiver out of Boston College. The shifty, play-making Flowers, should be dropped right into the offense to become an immediate contributor. Playing alongside receivers like Odell Beckham Jr. and Rashod Bateman, Flowers should help the Ravens have a pretty good wide receiver group.

Defensively, the top rookie is linebacker Trenton Simpson. Baltimore knows all about linebackers. Simpson is a versatile defender that will likely rotate with Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen. It’ll be interesting to see how Simpson performs, with Queen’s future in Baltimore being up in the air.

Aside from Flowers and Simpson, the Ravens have other rookies that could make noise in their first year as well. Kyu Blu Kelly is a name to watch as he tries to emerge in a relatively thin cornerback room.
