Have you ever found yourself wondering if life could be better? Is the grass truly greener on the other side? Well, if the other side is the Baltimore Ravens and the current side is whatever NFL team you currently root for, then yes it is indeed greener, or purple-er.

If you're already a fan of the Ravens, congratulations on being an amazing person. You may not need the persuasion as fans of those other teams, so feel free to use this as more of a "guide to persuading others," while at barbecues, bars, family/friend events, etc.

This season is now or never for a Ravens squad that fell one game short of the Super Bowl last season. Now is the time to convince everyone you can to climb aboard the hype train that's leaving Penn Station and travel along the rails of what's going to be an incredible 2024-25 NFL season.

Be sure to check in each week, on Wednesdays at 6:00 a.m. ET to see why you should become Baltimore's next Superfan. Here are your Week 1 reasons you should become a Ravens fan right now.

5 reasons why you should become a Baltimore Ravens fan right now (Week 1 edition)

5. Maybe you're a fan of delicious crab cakes and HBO's hit series, The Wire

Maybe you or your friends aren't the biggest football fans or Ravens fans, but that shouldn't stop you from joining the fanbase. Cue Wedding Crasher's, "Crab cakes and football. That's what Maryland does!" Indeed it does. If you're a crab cake lover, now is the time to commit. Who needs the Swifties when Baltimore's got the foodies?

For you TV addicts out there, The Wire takes place in Baltimore. So what better way to show your support of the hit series than becoming a full-blown Ravens fan? There probably isn't one.

4. The Ravens are in the AFC North and their rivalries are insane

The AFC North is a gauntlet. Every team last year finished above .500. Three teams from the division made the playoffs. Rivalries run deep here in the AFC North. If hard-nosed, gritty, "give me everything you got"-effort excites you, this is the division for it. The Ravens' foes always present a challenge. Great football games come from here and who doesn't love watching great games?

3. The defense has stars at everywhere

If you're a fan of talent, the Ravens have plenty of it. More specifically, their defense is loaded with star power. Roquan Smith, Marlon Humphrey, Nnamdi Madubuike, and Kyle Hamilton lead a loaded defense that will surely make big plays. If you're looking for excitement, look no further than this Ravens defense.

2. Derrick Henry will be stiff-arming opponents into oblivion

If you're a fan of violent football, it doesn't get more violent than Derrick Henry running the football. He's 6-foot-2 and weighs around 250 pounds. Oh, and he isn't a linebacker, he's a running back. He's also a "King" for those into more Renaissance reasons. But watching Henry stiff-arm people into Planet Earth is a sight to behold - you don't want to miss it.

1. Lamar Jackson is the most electric player in the NFL - yeah, we said it

Lamar Jackson is coming off his second MVP award and is ready for more this season. Patrick Mahomes is the most talented quarterback in the NFL, but the most electric goes to Jackson. Jackson dances around the field like no one ever has before. He's an unstoppable force. Not having a good throwing day? He'll torch you on the ground. Running lanes not there? No worries, he'll beat you through the air.

Jackson might be the only reason you need to become a Ravens fan. Follow us on Facebook and X and tell us your reasons why fans should Flock around and find out what it means to bleed Purple and Black.
