Ideal Round 3 targets for the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 NFL Draft: Clark Phillips III, CB, Utah

Finally, Baltimore could use some competition at slot cornerback, and there might be no better slot corner left in this draft than Utah's Clark Phillips III. Projected to be a Day 2 pick, Phillips will undoubtedly hear his name called Friday night.

Standing just 5-foot-9, Phillips is a little undersized. However, he doesn't let that get in the way of being a highly aggressive player with a football IQ in the upper echelon. Phillips knows how to use angles and close quickly, putting some nice ball skills on display.

Like the aforementioned Smith, Phillips also attacks the ball well. He is able to read the quarterback's eyes, while also playing the ball and not just his man. That gives him a rare ability to be unfazed by his receiver's movement or tendencies, because Phillips is solely focused on going after the football.

Last season alone, Phillips came up with a whopping six interceptions and six more passes defensed. Over the last two years alone, he totaled eight interceptions and 19 passes defended. Even more impressive, Phillips has taken four interceptions back for touchdowns over his college career.

That type of aggression and game-changing ability is something the Ravens would love to add on Day 2.
