We are ranking the Baltimore Ravens roster from top to bottom to make the countdown until the season starts faster. Our list is looking at which players have the best shot at making the 53-man roster and which players will significantly impact how many games the team wins. We are inside the top 70 and starting to get to the borderline rostered players.
Today, we look at number 67, Laquon Treadwell.
Baltimore Ravens 2023 roster ranking: No. 67 Laquon Treadwell
Laquon Treadwell is the former 2016 first round pick by the Minnesota Vikings. Sitting on the borderline of the Baltimore Ravens roster is not where he saw himself entering his eighth year in the NFL. However, his career never took off.
He had a career-high 434 yards six years into his career in 2021 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Still, he followed that up by recording just 42 yards in 2022. He has only gone over 100 yards four times, over 200 yards three times, and over 300 yards just twice.
Some Baltimore Ravens fans like the idea of having a roster full of first-round picks at wide receiver. The team has Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Nelson Agholor, and Odell Beckham all as locks to make the roster. Could Treadwell slot in as number five?
However, Laquon Treadwell is not only behind Devin Duvernay; he is also behind Tylan Wallace and James Proche. The depth chart is not going his way. Duvernay is a look to make the roster, but there is a shot that Treadwell gets looks over Wallace and Proche. Still, even that is the number six wideout, which puts him right on the roster edge.
Treadwell may be more productive as a wideout than both, but if the Ravens want a sixth wide receiver on their roster, they probably want some sort of special teams value. This is where Proche and Wallace lean ahead.
He was just signed, and he is not a lock to make the roster. Still, he has typically been making roster, if he does not produce. That is why we have him close to the 53-man roster, but not enough to make an impact.
