Ravens players who will get cut before 2023 season begins: C Sam Mustipher
Lastly, we come to one of the newest Ravens, veteran center Sam Mustipher. At first glance, Ravens fans might have seen Mustipher as a strong signing. For fans who might not know much about him, he was indeed a starting center over the last season-plus for the Chicago Bears.
Being a former Notre Dame offensive lineman is never a bad thing, either, as they produce plenty of NFL talent. Mustipher is also just 26 years old, with room to grow. The problem is, he needs to grow a whole lot more if he is to become a true NFL-caliber player.
Last year, Mustipher was the Bears' best option at center, but he was often left on an island and allowed Justin Fields to get hit quite often.
Behind Mustipher, the Ravens have undrafted free agent Jake Guidone out of Uconn. Guidone is a smart player with a lot of versatility. He is a former tight end and has the mentality that he would play any position needed, being a former tight end and having played both guard and center.
My bet is that Guidone makes the roster as an undrafted free agent and the backup to starter Tyler Linderbaum, over Mustipher.
