1. Signing Lamar Jackson to a long-term contract gives the Ravens security

It sounds funny putting it that way, because Jackson has had his share of injury struggles. But, how many teams out there have had an impossible time finding their own franchise quarterback, worthy of a long-term extension like Jackson just received?

It's not easily done. Teams whiff on young quarterbacks all the time, but the Ravens know they have something special in Jackson. Hopefully, health is now on his side and he can move past those banged-up seasons that were 2021 and 2022.

Going forward, the Ravens don't have to worry about the quarterback position. The only thing they might have to do is eventually find another backup they're just as confident in as they are with Tyler Huntley. But, Jackson is their man for the next five years. That leaves one gigantic question mark ansswered for Baltimore.
