5. Will Malik Hamm make the Baltimore Ravens?

Malik Hamm was one of the big surprises from the preseason. He was one of the top pressure-getters and made multiple plays in all phases of the game. One phase that is valuable to the Ravens includes dropping back into coverage for six snaps.

This is significant because we noted Tyus Bowser and his injury status. Bowser is still on the PUP and may miss the start of the season. If he does, it is not as simple as David Ojabo filling that role because Bowser has a specific skill set and role off of that.

Jeremiah Moon and Malik Hamm were the two who got the most looks in the SAM role without Bowser. Of course, Malik Harrison can and has played that hybrid role as well.

Still, the UDFA rookie looked better than the draft pick Tavius Robinson. He needs to put two more weeks together like that, and that is why he is right around number 53 on the roster right now, but things are trending in the right way for Malik Hamm, and he may have a better shot at making the roster than some may think.
