2. Patrick Mekari will start for the Baltimore Ravens again

The Baltimore Ravens are just going to have to accept that Ronnie Stanley cannot stay healthy. It has been since 2019 when he last went through the year without a significant injury. Stanley will not miss the rest of the season but is a candidate for the IR, as the team will obviously be cautious with working him back.

Still, the team was prepared for this, which is why they not only have Patrick Mekari, but they rested him the entire preseason, making sure he got to the season healthy. Mekari has been with the Ravens since 2019. Last season, he stepped in for 312 snaps at left tackle, and he held things down until Stanley was able to get healthy. It was probably their best run without Stanley since Stanley was drafted.

So, the team at least has an option they trust. Still, Mekari has just 327 career snaps at left tackle. He held it down, but it was a short stint. It will be interesting to see if he will be needed for a longer stretch and if he can continue that play as opposing pass rushers get more tape and get used to what he brings.
