Ranking the top 5 quarterbacks on Baltimore Ravens 2023 schedule: No. 4, Tua Tagovailoa
Last year was a rollercoaster for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Most football fans will remember Tua's scary moments and multiple concussions, which wound up putting him out for the season. At one point, it seemed like a plausbile outcome for Tua to call it a career; the injuries looked that bad.
However, he's continuing to play and the Dolphins have a legitimate chance to compete in the AFC if he is healthy. The offense that Miami has put together possesses a ton of speed and playmaking ability, starting with wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Under Mike McDaniel, Tua looked like the quarterback many thought he would be coming out of Alabama. He was efficient, and McDaniel was able to make him look even better by scheming his playmakers open in ways not many other coaches can do. Tua and McDaniel have become a match made in heaven.
Before Tua went out for the remainder of the year, the 2022 season saw him entering the MVP discussion. In 13 games, he threw for over 3,500 yards, 25 touchdowns and just eight picks. The Ravens will take on Miami in a Week 17 home tilt.
