Reasons to worry about Baltimore Ravens rookie Zay Flowers: Small in size, short arms

Lastly, and this kind of goes with the first reason to worry about Flowers, but he is simply just small in general and has shorter arms.

The fact that Flowers' hands are of average quality to begin with isn't particularly ideal. But, pairing that aspect with shorter arms than what you'd ideally like in an NFL receiver makes for a tougher jump for a college prospect.

There have been plenty of players to have success at this level despite their size, but the good majority of them have come at the running back position. Think about Darren Sproles and Danny Woodhead.

Flowers is 5-foot-9, which is just under where you'd like your prototypical wide receiver to be. Even Tyreek Hill is 5-foot-10, so that extra inch could come into play for Flowers especially when going up against bigger, more physical defensive backs.
