We are counting down the days until the Baltimore Ravens hit training camp, and we are counting down the 90-man roster to see who is the most valuable on the team. This list will focus on which players can most impact things in 2023. We are in the top 80 and down to number 77 on our list.

Today, we focus on the Baltimore Ravens edge rusher Jeremiah Moon

Baltimore Ravens roster ranking: No. 77 Edge Rusher Jeremiah Moon

Jeremiah Moon will be spending his second season with the Baltimore Ravens. Moon was a UDFA from Florida and spent his rookie season on the practice squad. Now, he is ready to compete to make the roster.

What he has going for him is that he has been in the system his whole career, and the coaches wanted to keep him around. More than that, the depth in front of him is thin. Tyus Bowser, David Ojabo, and Odafe Oweh are locks, and then rookie Tavius Robinson should also be in the mix.

However, if you are looking for a fifth edge rusher, it is probably Moon. So, if any of them are injured, or anything happens, Moon is there to step in. The Ravens may also keep five edge rushers, which would help Moon.

Things that hurt Moon include his struggles to find a role on special teams. They will keep an extra linebacker who plays teams over him. Beyond that, his best role is probably as the SAM, and a backup to Tyus Bowser. Inside linebacker, Malik Harrison is much better on special teams and can fill the backup SAM role in the meantime as well. Heck, he may even be better in that role than Moon is.

Even if somebody got hurt, the Baltimore Ravens would be calling someone like they did last year with Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Houston. So, the odds of Moon making the roster go down a bit.

He has some things going for him, and that is what has him down at 77, but 77 is still a ways from the top 53, where he ultimately wants to be.
