We are counting down the days until the start of training camp by counting down the most valuable players on the Baltimore Ravens roster. This list will look at each player on the current roster and rank them based on their value to the team next season. Today, we are looking at No. 89 Sean Ryan, a wide receiver.

Baltimore Ravens roster ranking: No. 89 WR Sean Ryan

Sean Ryan is a rookie UDFA from Rutgers. He was a fifth-year senior but transferred from two schools before Rutgers. He was a freshman at Temple, and had 162 yards before transferring to West Virginia.

At WVU, Ryan played three seasons and had 219 yards, 264 yards, and 399 yards. Thanks to the COIVD year, he had a fifth year of eligibility and trasnferred to Rutgers for it. During his last year with the team, he posted 440 yards and three touchdowns, his best year.

Still, he went undrafted because he could not eclipse 500 yards in his college career. He did not go to the NFL combine, but at his Pro Day, he was 6'3", 198 pounds, and ran a 4.59 40-yard dash. With that height and speed, you would like him to be a bit heavier, as he is thin for that size.

Sean Ryan was going to have a hard time cracking many NFL depth charts at this point, but the Baltimore Ravens may be even more challenging this year than usual. The team finally has talent and depth in the room, with Nelson Agholor, Zay Flowers, and Odell Beckham all key additions to Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay.

The depth is pushing guys like James Proche and Tylan Wallace to the roster edge, so these UDFAs would really have to prove something to make noise. Beyond that, Ryan is not even the most talked about rookie UDFA at wide receiver on the roster. Dontay Demus is more intriguing as well.

So, when you are second amongst the UDFA wide receivers on your own team, you are a long shot for the roster. Sean Ryan making it would prove us wrong, as we rank him 89th on our list.
