Baltimore Ravens Rumors: 3 fresh Patrick Queen trades to consider
By Ryan Heckman
The Baltimore Ravens could trade Patrick Queen to the Los Angeles Rams
People are sleeping on the Los Angeles Rams this offseason. There are a lot of question marks within that organization, but the biggest one has to do with starting quarterback Matthew Stafford, who refuses to hang up the cleats.
If Stafford is indeed healthy, then this team is in good hands. That's a start. The other big question is if Cooper Kupp can come back 100 percent from a season-ending injury last year, as well. Things aren't as bleak for Kupp, and most expect him to be just fine. But, the Rams also mutually parted ways with a veteran and leader, Bobby Wagner. Trading Jalen Ramsey also hit this unit hard. Additionally, they let go of Leonard Floyd, so that defense is in flux.
In this deal, the Rams trade a third-round pick in 2024, which should be the starting point of any Queen deal. But, they also help bolster Baltimore's receiving core, giving them possession wideout Ben Skowronek, who has filled in nicely for Kupp when he's been out.
Skowronek has two years left on his rookie deal, so the Ravens will get a good feel for whether they'd want to keep him around long-term. Meanwhile, Queen will likley get extended no matter where he goes. He becomes the second cornerstone for this Rams defense, next to Aaron Donald.
If the Rams have their big names healthy, they'll be a contending team in the NFC. They just need to ensure their defense isn't completely in shambles as they've been stripping that unit down to the bone.
