Baltimore Ravens Rumors: Top 3 teams in competition for DeAndre Hopkins
By Ryan Heckman
The Ravens will have to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs to sign DeAndre Hopkins
Finally, and probably most obviously, the Ravens are going to have to stave off a big push from the Kansas City Chiefs if they are going to have a shot landing Hopkins. The Chiefs are also a +300 favorite, tied with the Bills, per PointsBet Sportsbook.
After all, what NFL veteran wide receiver wouldn't want to play with Super Bowl Champion and, arguably the best quarterback in the league, Patrick Mahomes?
The Chiefs weren't pegged as the Super Bowl favorites last year, especially after they went and traded Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. Questions lurked everywhere in regards to just how Mahomes would survive without one of the game's most lethal weapons in his offense.
Truth be told, Mahomes was just fine. In fact, he was arguably even better. Being foreced to spread the ball around, other than Travis Kelce getting his bulk of the touches, was maybe the best thing that could have happened in his young career.
Mahomes looked better than ever without Hill, and proved he didn't need a top-tier receiver to get it done. But, what happens if he were to get another elite option like Hopkins? It might be over for the AFC, two years in a row. Baltimore is going to have to be a hard sell for his services, it seems.
