Baltimore Ravens Rumors: 3 trades involving LB Patrick Queen
By Ryan Heckman
The Ravens could trade Patrick Queen to the New York Giants
One of the surprise teams from last year, the New York Giants, are going to be a sneaky good team yet again in 2023, by most accounts. They added speedster Jalin Hyatt to the offense which was already able to retain both Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley.
Speaking of Hyatt, he should come in right away and be a big part of the receiving corps. New York has not had consistency in this room for quite some time, and it is quite the crowded room, to say the least. With Baltimore always needing help at wide receiver, and the Giants' room getting crowded with similar-stature types, they could work out a deal here.
In this trade, the Ravens get a speedy deep threat in Darius Slayton, who has been involved in a lot of trade rumors over the last year or so. There were many convinced that Slayton wasn't going to be part of this Giants roster after 2023, but he's still there, for now.
The Ravens adding a young, speedy wide receiver wouldn't hurt. But, they also get a fourth-round pick in the deal, which is a solid value for a player they don't plan on bringing back in 2024 anyway.
Meanwhile, the Giants add Queen to a defense that also saw free agent signing Bobby Okereke come in this offseason. Those two, alone, would give the unit a whole different feel than a year ago. The duo adds a ton of speed to the Giants' linebacker room, which now holds a lot of versatility between the two of them.
