The Baltimore Ravens saw risers and fallers during their first preseason game. Some players may be losing their chance to start or earn a contract before the season, but others are losing the chance to make the team. Who are the players that have two weeks to turn the momentum around because they are trending towards getting cut?

5. Jalyn Armour-Davis lost a great chance to make the Baltimore Ravens roster

Jalyn Armour-Davis had the opportunity of his career on Saturday. He had a rookie season to forget that featured injuries and poor play. However, the Ravens were ready to wipe the slate clean and let him play a strong season in 2023. Honestly, it was more because they needed him than it was that they wanted to give him this chance. They are losing bodies left and right at cornerback.

Marlon Humphrey was not going to start due to his talent and ability. Rock Ya-Sin was banged up as well, which meant both starters were down. Trayvon Mullen, Arthur Maulet, and Pepe Williams all were out as well. Armour-Davis may have been able to get an entire game of work, start to finish if he was healthy.

Talk about a second chance. However, he missed the game just like all the others. However, he has more on the line than most. He is right on the fringe of the roster. Now, the team has Brandon Stephens moving back to cornerback, and they probably are going to sign another cornerback at some point. Armour-Davis could have given them the confidence to leave Stephens at safety and not sign anyone. He did not answer that call. Now, he has two weeks to get on the field, but his opportunity may be limited if others come back. It is a tough climb from here for JAD.
