4. The writing is on the wall for James Proche with the Baltimore Ravens

This one is essentially locked in now, and it is hard to see anything that James Proche can do to make the Ravens roster. Proche saw the Ravens sign wide receiver after wide receiver this offseason. That is because the team trusted him last year as depth, and he could not stay healthy. Even when he was healthy, he was not trusted, and the team signed veterans like Desean Jackson to play over him.

Now, his roster spot is all but gone. He could return punts, but Devin Duvernay or Zay Flowers can easily take that role. Speaking of those two, they are two of five locks on the roster. Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham join them, as well as Nelson Agholor, who should be viewed as close to a lock as well.

So, there is just one more spot to make the roster. Proche has return game value, but others such as Tylan Wallace and Laquon Treadwell have been playing multiple phases of special teams, and Treadwell excelled at coverage in the preseason opener. Both of them have stronger paths to the roster than Proche, who has two more weeks to change his fate. He may as well be auditioning for other teams as well.
