10 burning questions that must be answered in the Baltimore Ravens preseason finale
1. What kind of treatment do the Baltimore Ravens give Angelo Blackson and Brent Urban?
When looking at the Baltimore Ravens defensive line depth chart, there are some clear tiers. Travis Jones, Michael Pierce, Justin Madubuike, and Broderick Washington are four locks for the roster. Kai Caesar, Trey Botts, and Rayshad Nichols are practice squad candidates who will not make the roster.
Then, in the middle are Angelo Blackson and Brent Urban. You would assume that both make it, but at the same time, it could be one or the other. Their playing time in week two suggests that they are on the same level and both will make it.
However, how the Ravens handle their work in the finale will tell us a lot. If they are working into the fourth quarter, one of them is on the bubble. If we get to halftime and Caesar, Botts, and Nichols are already closing things out, then you know that both of them are going to make it. How they treat these two in their last chance to impress the coaches and make the roster will tell us what they think about their chances of making the roster.
