10 burning questions that must be answered in the Baltimore Ravens preseason finale
2. Can Keaton Mitchell make the most of his chances?
Keaton Mitchell has increased his chances of making the Baltimore Ravens in both of his starts so far. He had a big run and a big return. We know that the big plays are what are going to increase his chances of sticking with the team, as his 4.3 speed is what has many shocked he did not get drafted.
Now, it has them thinking he is a lock for the roster. The issue is that for explosive as he has been, Justice Hill has been right there, and maybe better. Then, if he does not contribute on offense, he is also not better than Devin Duvernay in the kick return game. Unless Duvernay or Hill are gone, he really does not have a role and would be inactive on game days.
So, the only real case for him to make the roster is that he is so talented that another team would quickly scoop him up. It is possible, but it would take an explosive run or two in the preseason finale to ensure that would be the case.
Does Mitchell do enough to lock down his roster spot, does he ensure he will get claimed if he gets cut, or does he struggle and give the Ravens confidence that he will circle back to the practice squad?
