During Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Packers, Chargers outside linebacker Joey Bosa was carted off the field in visible pain and shedding tears after sustaining a foot injury in the first quarter of the Week 11 matchup between both teams.

The Chargers later confirmed he wouldn't return to the game, and we're still awaiting a final verdict on the extension of the injury although it's not very promising for the remainder of the season, let alone for the Chargers matchup against the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday.

Bosa injured his right foot on the fourth play of the game and immediately knew something was wrong with his foot. He limped off the field but was carted into the inner guts of the stadium. In the third quarter, Bosa returned to the sidelines on crutches and sporting a walking boot.

Chargers coach Brandon Staley provided no update on Bosa's injury after the game, but it's fair to assume that he will have to sit on the shelves for a good chunk of time if not entirely miss the remainder of the year rehabbing.

Bosa has made three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2019 to 2021, but injuries have prevented him from reaching even higher levels of play. Last season, he played only five games due to a groin injury and this year, a hamstring injury in Week 1 and a fractured left big toe in Week 3 had limited his playing time already.

This year, Bosa has appeared in nine games racking up 6.5 sacks and 14 solo tackles. He's forced one fumble, also helping with 34 combined tackles and hitting opposing quarterbacks eight times.

Bosa exited Week 11 having deflected one pass in his nine games and with the second-most sacks among players in the Chargers' active roster trailing only Khalil Mack, in possession of nine sacks through nine games all of those started.
