The Dallas Cowboys have been awfully busy the past couple of days. It looks like they refuse to slow down. CeeDee Lamb was extended for four years for $136M. A few hours later, it was reported that Dalvin Cook was coming to visit with the Cowboys. As reported by Todd Archer of ESPN, it looks like former Ravens' linebacker Tyus Bowser will also make the trip to Dallas to see what the Lone Star State has to offer.

The Baltimore Ravens visit the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in week three of the 2024 NFL season. A familiar face could line up in an unfamiliar place when the two teams meet. The Ravens drafted Bowser in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft. After a few seasons battling injuries, the Ravens cut him back in March to save $5.5M in cap space. Bowser suited up for nine games the past two seasons.

It's fair to question what Bowser can actually provide the Dallas Cowboys. DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons flank the edges. Meanwhile, the linebacker room doesn't need another injury-prone veteran. It's a curious move for sure.

What does Bowser visit mean for the Ravens?

For the Ravens, Bowser’s visit to Dallas might sting. Once a key part of their defense, Bowser’s potential signing with the Cowboys would add extra drama to their Week 3 matchup. Baltimore’s decision to cut him was financially driven, but seeing him line up against them in a different uniform could be a tough pill to swallow.

If signed, Bowser would likely serve as a rotational piece rather than a starter. His experience and versatility could provide valuable depth in Dallas, especially in a Mike Zimmer-led defense that thrives on flexibility. However, given his recent injury history, the Cowboys might view this as a low-risk move to bolster their pass rush.

Whether Bowser joins the Cowboys is still up in the air, but Dallas is clearly exploring every option to solidify their roster. With high expectations for the 2024 season, the Cowboys are leaving nothing to chance. If Bowser can contribute, even as a depth piece, this could be a smart move by the Cowboys.

The Ravens obviously didn't see how he'd fit with the team moving forward, hence cutting him in March. Wherever Bowser ends up, he'll always be remembered as a hard-working and entertaining player.
