What a steal.

The Baltimore Ravens swung for the fences and signed heavy-hitting running back Derrick Henry to a two-year deal worth $16 million. It's a move that has paid dividends and the long-time Titans running back scored his 100th touchdown during the Ravens' Week 5 match-up against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Ravens moved right down the field and 12 plays and 75 yards later, Henry took the handoff from Lamar Jackson and scored the 100th touchdown of his prestigious career. Not only did Henry score the touchdown to put his team up 7-0 over a hated division rival, but he slipped at the beginning of this play and still managed to find the end zone.

Ravens fans knew that Henry could be the missing piece for this offense in 2024 and he's proving how true that is. The Ravens running back has tallied 480 rushing yards and five touchdowns along with 45 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown in his first four games of the year and Baltimore is loving watching its new acquisition ball out.

Derrick Henry and Ravens are a match made in heaven

The Ravens have Jackson at quarterback who likes to take off and run with the football but they had struggled to find a true rushing threat aside from him in recent years. Injuries played a big part in that, sure, but that's why adding Henry was such a great move from them.

Henry spent the first eight years of his career with the Titans and rushed for over 1,000 yards in five of his final six years there. In 2020, Henry rushed for over 2,000 yards. Even with all of the productivity, Henry hasn't slowed down and continues to be his electric self, bolstering this Ravens offense and hopefully being what puts them over the top when the playoffs get underway (assuming, of course, that Baltimore gets there).
