By Matt Sidney
As the Baltimore Ravens gear up for a crucial Week 3 clash against the Dallas Cowboys, the team’s health and availability are looking optimistic, giving fans a bit of relief and excitement. Key players on defense are making significant strides back from injuries, which could play a pivotal role in the game’s outcome.
Final Ravens injury report ahead of Week 3 vs. the Cowboys
Safety Kyle Hamilton, a critical part of the Ravens’ secondary, has been cleared to play after a full participation in Friday’s practice session. Despite dealing with a back injury that had him miss practice earlier in the week, Hamilton is all set for action.
He shared with the media that, although it’s been a tough start to the season with various nagging issues, including a post-surgery elbow and a scare with a leg injury during training camp, he’s ready and doesn’t anticipate his back to be a problem come game day.
Rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins, after a worrying car accident that sidelined him with a neck injury and concussion, is also making positive progress. Though still wearing a non-contact jersey in practices, Wiggins’s movement has impressed, and his status for Sunday hinges on the final clearance from the medical team. His return would be timely as the Ravens prepare to counter a potent Cowboys passing attack.
On another note, there’s some uncertainty surrounding outside linebacker David Ojabo, who popped up on Thursday’s injury report with a quad issue. However, after limited participation on Thursday, Ojabo was fully involved in Friday’s practice, hinting at a potential appearance against the Cowboys. Rookie Adisa Isaac is also expected to make his season debut, having fully participated in practice this week, overcoming a hamstring issue.
Conversely, the Ravens will definitely be without guard Sala Aumavae-Laulu, who is out for personal reasons after not practicing all week. This absence could shuffle the lineup a bit in the trenches.
As for the Cowboys, their injury woes are notable too, especially on the defensive line. Nose tackle Mazi Smith, after missing a couple of practices, was limited on Friday and remains questionable. His presence or absence could significantly impact the dynamics in the trenches.
As both teams look to fortify their lineups, this upcoming game promises to be a thrilling encounter, with crucial players on both sides pushing through adversities to make impactful returns. Fans will be keeping a close eye on the final injury reports as game day approaches, hoping their favorites can indeed suit up and contribute to what might be one of the more gripping matchups of the week.
