The Baltimore Ravens have not started the season how fans were expecting them to, sitting at 1-2 and narrowly avoiding an 0-3 start. The 1-2 start hasn't just been frustrating for the fans but for Mark Andrews as well.

The three-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro tight end has only caught six passes for 65 yards and has no touchdowns through three games. Andrews also had his first game without a catch since October of 2022. So, what's to blame for Andrews' slow start? Head coach John Harbaugh explained why the tight end hasn't been his usual self through three games.
"It's probably going to be a part of the gameplan each week – and a lot of it is how the game goes, too. But Mark did what he was asked to do in the game – it just turned out that way. It wasn't like he wasn't on the pass routes – he could've been thrown the ball; it just didn't come his way. The blocks came his way. He was out there blocking those guys, and he did a great job."

Tight ends aren't just pass catchers, they can also be used to help the offensive line block and that's exactly where Andrews has been utilized in the first three games. While the former third-round pick didn't have a catch in the win over Dallas, he and the rest of the offensive line helped Derrick Henry and the run game have a crazy good day.
Henry rushed for a season-high 151 yards and two touchdowns while the rest of the Ravens rushing attack tallied 274 yards and three touchdowns. Lamar Jackson rushed for 87 yards and a score as well while Justice Hill had 33 yards rushing.
In other words, while it does stink to not see Andrews getting the ball sent his way, he's still helping the team succeed in other ways. That's not exactly what fantasy owners want to hear, however.
The Ravens' next three games are against the 3-0 Bills, the 0-3 Bengals, and the suddenly scary 2-1 Commanders. Will Andrews have his first breakout game of the season against one of these teams?
