The Baltimore Ravens practiced for the first time on kick-off week without the presence of their star tight end, Mark Andrews. Despite Andrews' missing a whole bunch of practices of late, the team's leadership remains steadfast in their conviction regarding his participation in the anticipated season opener against the Houston Texans on Sunday, Sept. 10.
Head coach John Harbaugh, who had previously offered reassuring words to the fans regarding Andrews' nonattendance last week, echoed his optimism during a press conference on Monday.
Harbaugh left no room for doubt asserting the team's expectation that Andrews would rejoin the practice on Wednesday. This prospect would grant Andrews three crucial days of practice before the pivotal Sunday game.
“We’re still on 'don’t push the panic button'’,” John Harbaugh said.
Coincidentally, Wednesday's practice session will also align with the unveiling of the team's first injury report ahead of the Week 1 matchup. This report holds the promise of adding more clarity to the circumstances of Andrews' absence, potentially clearing all doubts about the situation that has rendered him sidelined.
