Lamar Jackson clarifies calling out officials for “cheating” Ravens
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens might have won their Week 3 tilt with the Dallas Cowboys but that doesn't mean they were entirely happy. The team was openly critical of the officiating in their Week 3 win with Lamar Jackson getting caught by the mics saying "Stop cheating us, bro" and Kyle Van Noy taking to social media to express his frustrations.
Jackson was asked about the "Stop cheating us, bro" comment and clarified that he wasn't mad at the officials. "The refs are doing their job. Whatever they see, they're going to call it. They only got two eyes. They can't see everything," Jackson said, "I was like, 'stop cheating us,' but I wasn't talking to them. I'm just talking out into the world. I'm playing football. I'm trying to win."

Considering Jackson's attitude during the game and his teammates' attitude after the game, this feels like a course correct so that the Ravens quarterback doesn't find himself getting fined by the NFL for criticizing the officials. No one would really have blamed Jackson either way here. Avoiding a fine is always a smart idea but the officials did stink it up pretty bad in this game so no one would blame him for putting his foot down and continuing to address the poor officating.
Lamar Jackson backtracks, claims he wasn't mad at the officials in Week 3
The biggest plays that have been scrutinized from the Week 3 win over Dallas was when the Ravens should have had a safety but the refs called illegal touching on the Cowboys instead of intentional grounding. Dak Prescott threw the ball to an offensive lineman, which should have been intentional grounding and the penalty yardage would have been good for two points for Baltimore.
The other instance was in the fourth quarter when a silly roughing the passer penalty was called on Odafe Oweh that gave the Cowboys a fresh set of downs. Of course, the game came down to the wire but the additional two points from earlier in the game if the right penalty was called paired with that terrible roughing the passer call made it closer than it should have been.
In other words, if Jackson had ripped into the officials this week, no one would have blamed him.
