Trade Number 1: The 49ers send Brock Purdy to the Ravens in a Lamar Jackson

The first trade scenario that could work in the Ravens' favor, in terms of finding both a replacement for Jackson and some draft capital, is to center a deal around last year's "Mr. Irrelevant," Brock Purdy. In a deal regarding Purdy, the 49ers would also send some hefty draft pick compensation back to Baltimore.

In fact, with just about any 49ers quarterback going to the Ravens, draft compensation would need to be fairly heavy, considering Baltimore could allow a signed offer sheet to go unmatched, thus resulting in two firsts.

In this trade, teh 49ers would send Purdy, two third rounders this year, a first and second rounder next year and a second-round pick in 2025. It's a whole heck of a lot of draft compensation, but the 49ers would be Super Bowl favorites after landing a playmaker like Jackson.

At this stage, now, the Ravens could use eitehr one (or both) of those third rounders, combined with a first rounder next year and their no. 22 selection this year to move up and select another quarterback, if they so desired. The thing about Purdy is, coming from Shanahan's system and playing with that defense, we can't be too sure he's going to be a legitimate starter for years to come. Was it a flash in the pan, or was the kid's season for real?
