The Baltimore Ravens entered the 2024 NFL playoffs as the number one seed in the AFC and their sights are set on winning another Super Bowl. The Ravens are no stranger to making the playoffs, as they've been in the postseason in 11 of John Harbaugh's 16 years in Baltimore.
Harbaugh led the Ravens to the playoffs in each of his first five years coaching the team and they won a Super Bowl during that time frame, the second championship in franchise history. While they haven't made it past the divisional round since the year they went on to win the Super Bowl, this feels like it could be the Ravens' year.
Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl history
The Ravens have won two Super Bowls since becoming an NFL team in 1996. It didn't take them long to secure their first Super Bowl victory, as the Ravens won it all in the 2000 season, winning Super Bowl XXXV over the New York Giants with their smothering defense leading the way. Ray Lewis won Super Bowl MVP.
It took 12 years for the Ravens to get back to the Super Bowl, and luckily, they went 2-for-2, winning Super Bowl XLVII over the San Francisco 49ers and Joe Flacco was crowned Super Bowl MVP. Super Bowl XLVII was the not only the last time that the Ravens won a Super Bowl but it was the last time they've been to the big game.
The good news for Ravens fans is that the team is a perfect 2-0 when they make it to the Super Bowl. Should they get there this year, fans would have to feel pretty confident that they could get to 3-0 in Super Bowls.
