2nd Quarter: Fumbles in bunches, relinquished lead
Lamar Jackson fumbles on the Ravens' first play of the series. Colts take over.
— Jonas Shaffer (@jonas_shaffer) September 24, 2023
Ball security has been a problem for him this season, and in the rain over his career.
Kwity Paye strip sacks Lamar Jackson. That's back to back fumbles for the quarterback. If I'm not mistaken that's the fourth fumble by Jackson in three games. Colts in the red zone already

The Ravens are beating themselves right now.
— Ravens Nation LIVE (@LIVERavenNation) September 24, 2023
HAVE to clean up these mistakes. Quick.
Geno Stone gets the blitz assignment on 3rd & 7 this time. He makes contact with Minshew as he throws and it's incomplete.

Colts field goal is good and the Colts lead 10-7 with 3:26 remaining.
— Kyle Phoenix Barber (@KylePBarber) September 24, 2023
Ravens offense past three drives
Fumble
3&Out
Fumble (1st play)
Ravens defense gets a stop on the red zone, but Indianapolis takes the lead with a field goal, 10-7. Can't expect a win if your offense is going to suffer three straight fumbles and kill all of your drives and momentum in the game. They need to protect the football.
— Pedro H. Rhormes (@rhormes_) September 24, 2023
Ravens defense holds Colts to FG after Jackson fumble on own 19. Still, Indianapolis takes a 10-7 lead at the 3:26 mark of the third quarter on a Matt Gay 31-yd FG.

Colts lead 10-7 after some special teams ~drama~.
— Jonas Shaffer (@jonas_shaffer) September 24, 2023
Ravens have to hold on to the ball. Their past three drives have ended:
Fumble
Recovered fumble on sack
Lost fumble on sack
Sam Mustipher puts the ball into the ground on third down and Jackson has to dive on it.
— Kyle Phoenix Barber (@KylePBarber) September 24, 2023
Aborted play. Three and out.
The Ravens can't get themselves out of the funk since the Kenyan Drake fumble.
Mustipher snaps a ball that was both too low and Jackson wasn't looking for it anyway. Ravens lucky to not turn the ball over there, too. After the first drive, Ravens offense has looked really bad and mistake-prone.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 24, 2023
The Ravens have had a fumble for FOUR straight drives
— Kevin Oestreicher (@koestreicher34) September 24, 2023
Lost two, recovered two
David Ojabo is on the sideline in his uniform but hasn't played since the first quarter.
— Jonas Shaffer (@jonas_shaffer) September 24, 2023
The #Ravens have made one mistake after another since that Drake fumble. Lets hope they reset at halftime and their defense can make sure they aren't down by double digits when they get the ball back first in the 3rd quarter.#RavensFlock

Ravens DL Travis Jones is being looked at by the training staff. He was in on that last tackle.
— Jonas Shaffer (@jonas_shaffer) September 24, 2023
Tavius Robinson and Jadeveon Clowney are the edge rushers right now. The rookie is getting plenty of snaps today.
— Kyle Phoenix Barber (@KylePBarber) September 24, 2023
Down 10-7 to the Colts, the Ravens are trailing for the first time this season.
— Jamison Hensley (@jamisonhensley) September 24, 2023
Baltimore entered Week 3 as one of two teams that had yet to trail in a game this season (Cowboys were the other), per @ESPNStatsInfo.
Kyle Hamilton now has three sacks. The Ravens somehow did not recover that fumble. Jeremiah Moon had a shot. So did Brandon Stephens.

THREE SACKS FOR @kyledhamilton_ GO CRAZY!

End of the first half.
— Kyle Phoenix Barber (@KylePBarber) September 24, 2023
Colts: 10
Ravens: 7
Ravens have lost two fumbles and have had multiple 3 and outs.
Kyle Hamilton has 3 sacks.
Nothing on offense has gone the Ravens' way since their first drive.
Ravens go into halftime, trailing 10-7.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 24, 2023
Story for Ravens was mistakes. Kenyan Drake fumble on Colts 20. Lamar Jackson fumble on own 20. And failure of Ravens to pick up a Minshew fumble in Colts territory prevents Ravens from having shot at late second-quarter points.
In the first half ...
— Jamison Hensley (@jamisonhensley) September 24, 2023
Lamar Jackson is a perfect 7-of-7 passing.
Ravens are averaging 4.9 yards per carry.
Kyle Hamilton has 3 sacks.
But #Ravens are down 10-7. That's the impact of turnovers.
#Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton is the first defensive back since Jamal Adams in 2019 to have three sacks in a game, per @ESPNStatsInfo.
— Jamison Hensley (@jamisonhensley) September 24, 2023
Hamilton still has another half to play.
Ravens down, 10-7, at halftime.
Ravens outgained Colts, 148-138 in first half. Colts won time of possession, 17:45 to 12:15.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 24, 2023
Jackson 7-of-7 for 89 yards; 5 rushes for 31 yards, TD.
Minshew 14-for-20 for 103 yards and a TD.
Ravens halftime thoughts:
— Sarah Ellison (@sgellison) September 24, 2023
* Stop turning the ball over
That's it, really.
The defense, led by Kyle Hamilton, has bailed the offense out a few times. But that can only last so long.
Hold. Onto. The. Ball.
Those 3 first-half sacks by @kyledhamilton_ are the most in a first half by any Ravens player in team history. They also tie the record for the most in a first half by a DB in NFL history! pic.twitter.com/ieGAoKfB6o

We're down 10-7 at halftime. Time to reset at the break. pic.twitter.com/omcta8hwhx
