The Baltimore Ravens might have lost their Week 1 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs Thursday night on the road in Arrowhead Stadium, but the loss isn't deterring fans, analysts, and media members alike from losing belief.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson played well in the game, looking like the reigning regular-season MVP throughout the game. He finished with an impressive 273 passing yards on 26 completions with a passing touchdown and no interceptions. He also dominated on the ground, finishing the game with 122 rushing yards on 16 carries.

While the Ravens lost their season opener, there is still plenty of optimism surrounding the team. Some cleaning up needs to happen, but that's expected after Week 1. The Ravens have Lamar Jackson and that will be enough to keep them in every game this season. He's that good.

While Jackson usually catches some flack after big losses, the media was relatively tame this go-round. In fact, some of the game's biggest analysts and media members rushed to support the superstar QB.

One of them happens to be former the Host of Fox Sports' Undisputed and Co-Host of ESPN's First Take. His name is legendary is sports coverage and he has something to say about the Ravens and Lamar Jackson.

Longtime media personality Skip Bayless says Lamar Jackson is the best baller at quarterback he's ever seen

After the game, Skip Bayless took to social media to back Lamar Jackson amidst the heartbreaking loss. He had some interesting words to throw Jackson's way.

Aside from Skip looking ripped and standing awkwardly, this is the type of news Ravens fans enjoy hearing. Albeit not from Skip Bayless specifically, but from media personnel in general. Lamar Jackson is a baller, and there is no better baller in the NFL than the two-time MVP. And Skip's right, Jackson is the most electric player in the league.

Additionally, in Skip's rant, he backs his support of Jackson with some pretty hefty predictions, "I picked the Ravens to win the AFC over the Chiefs. I picked them to get to the AFC Championship against the Bengals, who are going to beat the Chiefs at the Chiefs in the playoffs – Burrow over Mahomes again – and I'm sticking with it because of Lamar. Jackson. Balling. Out."

We bring this up in light of the recent Week 2 NFL Power Rankings by Cody Williams who also believes the Ravens remain an elite team. In Week 2's updated power rankings, the Ravens fall to sixth place but remain the second-highest team in the AFC only behind the Chiefs.

Williams and Bayless aren't the only ones acknowledging the greatness of Jackson. Arrowhead Addict Site Expert Matt Conner had high praise for the Ravens after their Week 1 win, "The Chiefs weathered a highly emotional best effort from last year’s top conference seed and came out with an early seeding win over the Ravens—the single team best suited to beat them in 2024."

Lamar Jackson SZN is loading and he'll get another great opportunity to show his electric playmaking abilities next week against the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
