5 major storylines from Baltimore Ravens first preseason game
1. Is Tyler Huntley on the Baltimore Ravens roster bubble?
An underrated storyline that we had been discussing is the possibility that the Ravens will move on from Tyler Huntley this offseason. The coaching staff is new, and the Ravens could save a small chunk of change. Still, every dollar is so key with the Lamar Jackson contract, so if Josh Johnson is close to Huntley, and Anthony Brown is worth keeping as the number three, it actually is an easy decision.
This was just a thought, but Saturday added some smoke. Josh Johnson got the start ahead of Tyler Huntley. Huntley going from a playoff start to getting work deep into the third quarter of a preseason open has to be noted. Todd Monken does not want someone like Huntley, and he knows Josh Johnson better.
Huntley also got banged up, but beyond that, he did not do anything to show that he is better than Johnson. It is still just a thought, but there is starting to become a real chance that the Ravens move on from Tyler Huntley.
